This program was made possible by a generous grant from a private foundation. Selection of scholarship recipients was managed by Carers ACT and the program was delivered to participants during 2019 and 2020.

Scholarship recipients were carers of terminally or chronically ill loved ones living in the ACT. This program provided respite and reinvigoration through hands-on art activities under the guidance of expert artists. At the end of the course, each participant went home having created a large spherical garden sculpture welded from patterns of their own design. These sculptures act as an enduring reminder of their self-worth and achievement.
