The 2018 Veterans & Families Maker Program was made possible by volunteers, donations, and a grant from the Department of Veterans' Affairs. This program delivered scholarships to 64 contemporary veterans, their partners, and their children. Participants learnt blacksmithing, leatherwork, knifemaking, and longbow making.

This program was independently evaluated by researchers from the University of Canberra and used to produce original research into maker based programs and the health and wellbeing of contemporary veterans. You may read their report below:
